The focus of Women in Construction (WIC) Week is to highlight women as a viable component of the construction industry. WIC Week also provides an occasion for NAWIC’s thousands of members across the country to raise awareness of the opportunities available for women in the construction industry and to emphasize the growing role of women in the industry. It is also a time for local chapters to give back to their communities.

This year is the second year NAWIC Coastal Georgia has partnered with Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity to further the mission of WIC week to give back to our community and raise awareness for women to join the construction industry. Our partnership has allowed for us to plan not only a week long celebration of women in construction but a MONTH of Women Build events.

Women Build is a Habitat for Humanity initiative that empowers women around the world to positively impact lives in their communities. In supporting Women Build, not only are you investing in building critically needed affordable housing, you are helping build strong and stable neighborhoods where residents can thrive for generations to come.

Start gearing up for Women build month + Women in Construction WEEK!
