ABOUT OUR SPEAKER

Caitlin Chamberlain is currently the Principal Planner in the Historic Preservation Department at the Savannah-Chatham County Metropolitan Planning Commission. In this role, she reviews new construction and rehabilitation projects within four historic overlay districts in Savannah, as well as unincorporated Chatham County. Caitlin is also responsible for grant administration and managing the Historic Preservation Department’s Instagram page. Prior to her work at the MPC, Caitlin was the Heritage Program and Historic Resources Manager in Howard County, MD where she oversaw the operations of 27 historic resources and facilitated various public history, research, and archaeology projects. Caitlin holds a BFA in Philosophy from the University of Maryland and an MFA in Historic Preservation from SCAD. She is a member of the General Lachlan McIntosh chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and in her free time enjoys figure skating and playing piano.
