Attendees will explore effective communication techniques, conflict resolution skills, and ways to champion collaboration to overcome challenges and achieve shared success in their projects and careers. Conversation moderated by Robin Grenchik, panelists include Dr. Gwendolyn Martin and Jess Belfry.
ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS
DR. GWENDOLYN MARTIN
Dr. Gwendolyn Martin, also known as Dr. Gwen, is a licensed professional counselor, mental health consultant, and former special education teacher, school counselor, and adjunct professor. She has dedicated her career to working with some of the most vulnerable, challenging, and high-needs populations. She knows the importance of establishing effective mental health and wellness routines to prevent professional burnout.
Dr. Gwen is the Helper’s Helper, a leading expert and authority on creating high-level research-based programs in self-care. Her education, experiences, and entrepreneurial pursuits have led to Dr. Gwen’s Counselor Café LLC, which provides training, tools, and practical solutions to help government agencies, schools, and nonprofits mitigate burnout, reduce stress, and build a sustainable culture of care and well-being for all.
Dr. Gwen has served in several professional capacities to champion her work. She has one critical mission in mind, and that is to support and empower helping professionals in finding a healthy balance, both professionally and personally, mentally and spiritually. She believes that one must practice what they preach for longevity and sustainability in the helping professions. Dr. Gwen has embraced her role as a helper and is constantly evolving in the practice of mental health and wellness.
