The August Business Meeting is a Regional Industrial Update centered around the Hyundai Motor Group Meta America plant with Jesse Dillon, Chief Operating Officer for the Savannah Economic Development Authority (SEDA).

About the Bryan County Mega Site

Hyundai is constructing an 11-building, 16 million-square-foot EV assembly plant in rural Bryan County. The factory is to sit on a 3,000-acre site and is projected to employ 8,100 workers when it reaches full capacity.

About Jesse Dillon

As Chief Operating Officer, Jesse works to make Savannah and SEDA as competitive as possible to create, grow and attract business and create jobs.

Jesse has held several positions during her nine years with the organization, including Vice President of Business Development. Jesse continues to work closely with companies interested in locating and expanding in Chatham County. Jesse develops, implements, and manages SEDA’s Business Development strategic plan for developing product, attracting new business, and supporting established businesses grow in Chatham County. Jesse supports workforce initiatives developed and identified by the Business Development team to support the continual growth of the Savannah area workforce.

Jesse is a graduate of Leadership Savannah. She proudly serves as a board member for the Greater Savannah Regional Alliance, Foundation Board for the Savannah Technical College, and the Creative Coast.  Jesse is a member of the Georgia Economic Developers Association, the Southern Economic Development Council, the International Economic Development Council, and the National Business Aviation Association.

She is a graduate of Stanford University with a degree in International Relations. In 2014 Jesse and her husband, Jack, relocated to Savannah, where they enjoy as much time as possible outside with their two children.
